    Foi bom ter abortado a primeira tentativa. Ninguém deve enfrentar ondas de seis metros, sendo avisado que elas estão no caminho.

    Ondas deste porte equivalem a um paredão de água, com força descomunal. Até o navio da marinha evita um “trem” destes.

    Resultado: dia 31 de janeiro recebemos novo prognóstico, muito melhor.

    Estivemos a bordo do Ary Rongel, que tem sua própria meteorologia.

    Almoçamos a bordo do gigante vermelho, e estudamos as condições de tempo. A janela parece boa.

    ondas de dois metros, com longos períodos entre elas.

    Vento Sul, de 15 nós. Como navegamos para o Norte, rumo 305 graus, o vento é favorável, vem pela nossa popa.

    O único senão é a visibilidade: estamos envoltos em neblina, fenômeno comum no estreito de Drake.
